UPON ARRIVAL
Toño will be happy to receive you and give you the room keys.
The ferry from Chiquilá leaves from 6 am to 9:30 pm every 30 minutes.
The ferry to the island takes 20 minutes and the walk from the pier to the house is 10 minutes but we advise to take a taxi because streets are not paved. Taxi ( golf car) charges around 100 pesos to the house.
Please advise what time you will take the ferry from Chiquilá in order to calculate your arrival time and hand over the keys.
Check In
From 3:00 pm to 11 pm
You can pass by to drop your luggage from 11 am onwards, however, the rooms are most likely to be ready between 1 and 3 pm.
Check Out
Is at 11:00 am – 12:00 is the latest
Check out is at 11 am, please be punctual, we need the time in between to clean the room for the next guest.
LOCATION AND IT’S SURROUNDINGS
La Casa de Mia is located just 5 minute walk from the beach and 5 minute walk from the center and restaurant area, you will be almost around the corner from the best lobster pizzas in Holbox at Roots Pizza, Arte Sano with the best vegan dishes and if you want to eat on the beach; Capitán Capitán Beach Club has the best sushi and cocktails in a very relaxed atmosphere in front of the sea.
HOW TO MOVE AROUND
To get from the ferry to the house you can easily walk if you do not have very heavy luggage. If you don’t want to walk you can take a “taxi” that is a golf cart from the pier. In Holbox, there are no cars, only golf carts or scooters and bicycles, but everything is within walking distance.
In the rainy season, there may be puddles and it is advisable to bring water shoes such as sandals or rubber boots. Throughout the island, the floor is sand, not paved.
